Thankful

I haven’t written in a while so I figure I’ll just start typing and see what comes out.

Thanksgiving. So excited. I haven’t really taken a break for about 7 years. Usually I’ll have some side project going on that I end up working on. I have no shortage of side projects. Probably one of the most time consuming is working on my house. We’re dang close to finishing the two bathrooms we’ve been remodeling. We would be finished but HomeDepot said they shipped a vanity which they never did, and a month later we decided to move on. The list could go on, but I’ll stop because I’m getting a little stressed just thinking about all the stuff I’m neglecting. Blah!

That is why I’m so excited for Thanksgiving. I’m just going to relax, eat good food, hang out with family and friends, and totally neglect all the projects (except church).

I’m so blessed. We were a little worried that money would be tight for Christmas and then some friends gave me a money filled thank you card. I had done some business consulting for their startup and it had enough money to cover some of the things we wanted to do. I’m excited to be a little more generous this year than we could afford to be in the past. That is what this season is all about.
